Landscope Mauritius set to develop new MRA headquarters

Landscope Mauritius is set to develop the new offices for the Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA). The new headquarters will be located at Côte d’Or Technopole and form part of the larger master-planned Côte d’Or Smart City megaproject.

The planned new MRA offices - named ‘Revenue House’ will offer approximately 13,000m2 of office space and accommodate up to 1,000 employees. Construction is scheduled to begin in August 2024 with delivery expected in November 2025. 

Naila Hanoomanjee, CEO of Landscope Mauritius, stated: “We are delighted to accompany MRA in this significant milestone, and we are confident that the new building will be a major asset for Côte d’Or Technopole. We thank MRA for entrusting us with such a project. It will reaffirm Landscope’s ability to manage major projects, and I remain confident that with the professionalism and diligence of our leadership team, we will deliver high-quality work.”

The MRA will also use this opportunity to launch a new data-driven smart tax administration strategy. The proposal is aimed at attracting ‘Data Scientists and IT graduates to harness the benefits of data analytics in tax audits, collection of debts and provision of better services to taxpayers.

Nily Bunwaree, Director of Finance and Administration Department at the MRA, said: “Since its inception in 2006, the MRA had a vision to bring all its tax administration officers under one roof. In its quest for an ideal location for its Revenue House, the MRA participated in the tender launched by Landscope. The new building at the Côte d’Or Technopole will, without a doubt, be environmentally friendly, equipped with modern facilities and high-tech equipment that will promote work efficiency and synergy within the organization.”
