Roche Bobois has introduced its 2026 collection in Mauritius, reflecting a shift in the way homeowners and property developers approach interior and outdoor living. Available since August at the brand’s Forbach showroom, the collection places personalisation, modularity and comfort at the centre of contemporary furnishing.
Furniture is increasingly considered early in the design of residential projects, rather than as a final decorative step. Buyers are looking for pieces that respond to their lifestyles, spatial constraints and the island’s indoor-outdoor way of living. Roche Bobois says its latest collection has been developed with this evolution in mind, combining international design with a more tailored approach to furnishing. The brand will mark 15 years in Mauritius in 2027.
The 2026 range brings together established names from the worlds of furniture, textiles and design. French designer Sacha Lakic contributes the modular Script sofa, featuring double-depth backrests, alongside pieces from the Speed Up collection. The Speed Up Bois dining table combines an oval Canaletto walnut top with a black laminate underside and lacquered base, creating a contrast between natural materials and contemporary lines
Outdoor living also features prominently. American designer Stephen Burks has created Catalina, while Philippe Bouix’s Formentera outdoor collection incorporates fabrics by Italian house Missoni. Roche Bobois says the collaboration includes textiles specifically conceived for outdoor use, an important consideration in Mauritius’ tropical climate.
Beyond the products, the Forbach showroom offers decoration advice, online configuration, 3D project design, personalised support and after-sales service. Customers can select from fabrics, colours, finishes and configurations to create solutions suited to individual homes.
The collection also includes an eco-design dimension. Roche Bobois assesses products through its ECO8 internal tool, which considers materials, finishes, durability and end-of-life disassembly. In Mauritius, this includes the AVA chair in recycled polypropylene and the AUREA table made from recycled railway wood.
