Amanzira, Tamarin: nine private villas on Mauritius' west coast
Amanzira is a small residential enclave of nine villas in Tamarin, on the west coast of Mauritius. It is presented by Pam Golding Properties Mauritius, with prices starting from EUR 860,000. The villas sit on 11,421 m² beside a tributary of the Tamarin River, and less than 20% of the land is built on. The Rempart and La Tourelle mountains form the backdrop, and building heights in the area are limited to a single storey, so the views are protected.
The plots average more than 700 m², which leaves generous space between villas. Mature trees along the Boucan rivulet reserve have been preserved, and every villa has its own private garden and pool. Tamarin's beaches, restaurants and village life are a short ride away. Schools, medical facilities and commercial centres are all within 5 km, so daily routines remain easy to manage. A co-working space with EV charging is also available, which suits those working remotely.
There are two villa types. Eight are Amanzi villas, with three bedrooms and 228 m² of built area, priced from EUR 890,000; a two-bedroom option is available from EUR 860,000. The living areas open fully onto the garden and pool on both sides, and the master suites sit at the back, each with its own private garden. The single Ra villa has four bedrooms and 400 m² of built area on a very large riverfront plot, priced at EUR 1.8 million. It offers open-plan living, a basement, and views of the Rempart across the unspoilt Boucan reserve. Each villa can be tailored with a garage, a plunge pool, battery storage or a fully off-grid solar system.
Sustainability is part of the design rather than an addition to it. Photovoltaic energy and rainwater harvesting are included with every villa, and the open-plan layouts are arranged for natural cross-ventilation. The project is registered for LEED certification with the U.S. Green Building Council (Project ID).
Every villa carries eligibility for Permanent Residency Permits for purchasers, their spouses and their children. Whether the aim is a new home in Mauritius or a considered addition to a property portfolio, Amanzira offers space, privacy and a lower-impact way of living in one of the island's most sought-after coastal areas. With only nine villas available, early registration of interest gives the widest choice.
