Heritage Awali Unveils Major Refresh

Editorial November 26, 2025

Heritage Awali Golf & Spa Resort has unveiled a comprehensive refresh of its guest experience. The five-star all-inclusive property, part of Heritage Resorts owned by Rogers Hospitality, a subsidiary of the publicly listed Rogers & Co, is located on Mauritius' south coast at Bel Ombre. The enhancements became available to guests on 20 November 2025.

The Heritage Spa & Wellness stands as the centrepiece of this transformation. The newly renovated 3,000m² facility has been entirely reimagined with open, airy spaces that blend seamlessly with lush tropical surroundings. New features include open-air kiosks for couples, a private bridal lounge, family treatment rooms, a vitality pool, steam rooms, and a wellness bar complete with hair and nail services.

Accommodation has also been refreshed throughout the property. Rooms now feature lighter textiles and softer tones designed to enhance calm and balance. A new category of Deluxe Beach View rooms has been introduced, with 28 keys offering uninterrupted lagoon views.

The Timomo Kids Club has been rejuvenated with a colourful mural by local artist Guillaume St Flour, inspired by Tikoulou, the beloved character of Mauritian childhood. A new dining concept called Kizuri, meaning "delicious" in Swahili, now offers authentic Mauritian street-food flavours throughout the day.

Executive Chef Veerapen Govinden has joined the resort to strengthen its gastronomic identity.

The resort remained operational throughout the refresh process. Guests now have access to 13 restaurants across the Domaine de Bel Ombre, including year-round Michelin-starred dining experiences.

Rates for a Deluxe Garden Room start from £396 per night on an all-inclusive basis in January 2026.
