On 15 July 2026 in Moka, ER Group presented its new three-year plan to more than four hundred and fifty managers and executives, setting out an ambition to consolidate its position among Mauritius's strongest economic performers while accelerating its expansion across the region.
"We are closing this financial year as one of the country's most profitable and impactful groups, driven by highly qualified and committed teams. This places us in a particularly strong position to approach our new three-year plan," said Gilbert Espitalier-Noël, ER Group's Chief Executive Officer.
ER Group has secured approval in principle for a new bank in Mauritius, via Rogers Global Financial Holdings Ltd, a holding company jointly owned with Swan Life that is partnering with FMBcapital Holdings. FMBcapital Holdings Plc (FMBCH), is a banking and financial services holding company based in Mauritius and listed on the Malawi Stock Exchange. ER Group also aims to lift electric models to 10% of sales at Axess, its vehicle distributor already selling XPeng electric cars, by 2031, up from 0.9% in FY25.
Real estate and construction anchor the plan's regional ambition. ER Property, the Group's property arm, continues to build out Moka City and Savannah, two smart city projects underpinning its land bank, while Ascencia, its mall operator, expands with Mall de Flacq and Bel Air Mall. And Oficea, the Group’s office property developer, is advancing The Grid, its next‑generation office campus in Moka. These developments sit within a wider sustainability commitment: raising the rental portfolio's green certification to 50% by 2031, up from 4.5% in FY25.
"This expansion is designed as an extension of the Group's strength and its confidence in Mauritius's potential, not as a retreat from the country. Our regional expansion grows out of our Mauritian foundations. It does not come at the country's expense: it builds on it," explained Espitalier-Noël.
Hospitality follows the same pattern. ER Aviation is set to strengthen its regional leadership in four new countries, while the Group completes the renovation of its entire Beachcomber hotel portfolio and opens a new hotel outside Mauritius. ER Hospitality's own brands, including Veranda, Heritage Resorts and Bel Ombre, are being renovated and repositioned as part of the same push.
Property, construction and hospitality now carry much of ER Group's next chapter, built on foundations already laid at home.
