The eastern region of Mauritius is undergoing a transformative journey as Anahita Beau Champ officially obtains its Smart City Certificate. This milestone, granted by the Economic Development Board, propels this 118-hectare development into the spotlight as an ambitious, sustainable, and innovative project by Alteo.
Recently, infrastructure works for Phase 1 of Anahita Beau Champ started, marking a new chapter for the region. Trusted with this critical task is Transinvest, a subsidiary of the renowned Colas Group and a leader in construction across Mauritius.
The market’s response to Anahita Beau Champ has been nothing short of exceptional. The rapid sale of plots in Phase 1 set the tone, with Phase 2 following suit. Of the 28 new plots released, 27 have already been snapped up—an undeniable testament to the project's appeal.

Anahita Beau Champ has been meticulously designed to blend residential spaces with mixed-use zones, creating a harmonious living environment. Phase 1 alone features:
- 50 hectares of residential land, welcoming both Mauritian and international buyers eligible for residency.
- 50 hectares dedicated to commerce, schools, and leisure facilities.
Revitalizing heritage is a cornerstone of this project. The iconic Deep River sugar factory will be repurposed into a versatile hub featuring coworking spaces, offices, and top-tier sports facilities such as the RM Club, padel courts, and cycling tracks.
Additionally, partnerships with Clavis International Primary School and Le Bocage International School bring world-class education to the region, ensuring a bright future for families.
In 2023, Anahita Beau Champ was awarded the prestigious WELL Community pre-certification by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI). This accolade reflects Alteo’s dedication to creating a healthy, sustainable living environment that prioritizes well-being.
