Workshop17 Mauritius aiming to launch three new co-working spaces

Admin February 21, 2023

Workshop17, a South African-based co-working space, is taking the Mauritian landscape by storm in its quest to provide dynamic working spaces for an evolving market.

Having first launched in June 2022 with its first location in Vivéa Business Park in Moka Smart City at an estimated investment of Rs 65 million, the space has more than 150 members and 32 companies to date.

Its next location in the North at The Precinct will open doors in April 2023. This location will cover a total area of more than 2,500 m2 and include 821 m2 of private offices spread over three floors.

Workshop17 Mauritius will then continue its expansion in the center at Telfair and in the South.

Adam Dembovsky, Managing Director of Workshop17 Mauritius, makes it clear that the aim is to challenge conventional paradigms regarding offices and co-working spaces in Mauritius. "Therefore, we want to redefine co-working by offering flexible and fully equipped workspaces, but also an environment that meets all the needs of companies.”
For Adam Dembovsky, despite its size, Mauritius remains a thriving economy nestled in the heart of the Indian Ocean. “Mauritius has just been voted 4th best destination in the world for remote work by the KAYAK Work From Wherever Index. While digital nomads can benefit from a fast and secure connection thanks to fibre, foreign investors, companies and entrepreneurs can now benefit from incentives to come and settle in Mauritius. Workshop17 currently has eight sites, namely seven in South Africa and one in Mauritius.

Workshop17 Mauritius is now planning to open another 3 locations namely in; Grand Baie (The Precinct), Moka (Telfair), and Gros-Bois.
